Race Team

The Elkhorn Valley Cycling Club also has a race component which serves to promote the Club sponsors and raise awareness of the sport of cycling. It is also a vehicle to recurit young athletes to the sport and give veterans and casual competitors an outlet for their competitive spirit.

The race team, Elkhorn Valley Cycling powered by Monster (EVCpM), is comprised of men and women from all over Nebraska including Norfolk, Madison, Pierce, Stanton, Madison, Wayne, Burwell, Valentine, Doniphan, Omaha, and Lincoln.

Racers from the team compete in all Nebraska road, mountain, and cyclocross events as well as races in South Dakota, Kansas, Iowa, and Missouri.

The team has been very successful with many State Champion and Rider of the Year awards.

The Club has recognized that cyclocross is fast becoming one of the most popular aspects of the sport of cycling. As a result, the club has added a second race team: Elkhorn Valley Cycling CX - Monster (EVCCX-Monster). This team will wear modified blue and orange team uniforms and be fully support by the Club. Riders from other teams who focus on cyclocross are welcome to race wtih EVCCX-Monster during the cyclocross season.

Elkhorn Valley Cycling has also partnered with Team Type 1, an professional and amatuer team of cyclists who suffer from type one or type two diabetes. For more information see http://www.nencycling.org...
