Kudos

Kudos to the trail maintance done recently, I think it goes to Tim.  I took a night ride Monday night and the ride was sweet!  I felt so inspired that Tanner and I created a new log obstacle in the tech section today.  Ok I created the obstacle while Tanner played in the stream.  Any way...I cleared a bailout route as well...that should say enough.

Crash At Manawa

There was a nasty crash at the Manawa Mayhem MTB race today: Doug Larson ended up in the hospital with some serious injuries. Doug is a great guy and rides with the Bike Masters crew. Dale Rabideau explains it better in a reprint of his post on the Bike Masters Blog. Nice to see Duane in there helping, not that its surprising though.

Stone State Park - Sioux City

Wednesday of Todd's man-cation found he and I in Stone State Park in Sioux City, Iowa. I had heard about this as being a nice trail system in the Loess Hills. Prior to going I call Jon "Woody" Nelson for a trail update. "Oh, there is some climbing. Some long, some short steep ones. You'll get a good workout." After the hard laps we put in Monday evening at Ponca, and Todd's Swanson trip Tuesday, we were hoping for some new trails and a nice relaxing ride.

Good grief. Never get trail advice from a Cat 2 racer.  read more »
