Race results update 6-9-2014

Its been busy since the mid-April update. Sean Moore and Sara Reynolds have been killing it at the Psycowpath marathons, Jerry Hoff took second in Ponca, we had several of our athletes place at our race at Maskenthine, and Dan Zieg and Jill Riese excelled at the Ironman 70.3 in Kansas.

2013 CX Season Wrap-Up

EVCC Results from the Bone Bender and Platte River Battle Royal

While the road crew was in Iowa for the Twin Bing, several EVCC racers were in Lawrence, KS April 14 for the 5th Annual Boner Bender. All three team entrants, Todd Wixon and Whitney and Brian Porn, scored top ten results, with Whitney taking first in the Women’s Singlespeed.

After the Psycowpth race at Tranquility was suspended due to inclement weather, the next MTB race in Nebraksa was the Platte River Battle Royal. All the team members in attendance lined up for the 4 hour marathon class with Sean Moore being the highest finisher at 10th. Continue reading

April Road Racing Report

April was the month for Iowa road racing, and EVCC was in the mix.

The Twin Bing Cycling Classic in Climbing City, Iowa was as expected: windy, hard, and windy. Rich Anderson had a stellar day with a fourth place making him the highest-finishing team rider at the event.

Psycowpath 2013 Opening Rounds

The 2013 Nebraska mountain bike race season opened on the first weekend of April with three Psycowpath races – the Jewell Jam Time Trial and the Swanson STXC on Saturday and the Swanson XC Shootout on Sunday. The Saturday races were combined into a single stage with the winner determined by a point scale.

Sean Moore (Norfolk) was the team’s only entry into the Saturday stages. Sean was fourth in both stages and in the overall.
