NRS General Info and Rules

Cost per event is $5.00 for non-members, free for members. A waiver will be required at least once during the season.

All races start at 7PM SHARP! Mandatory rider’s meeting at 6:45PM

Three Rider Categories:

  • “A” – USAC Category 4/Cat 2 MTB and above
  • “B” – USAC Category 5/Cat 3 MTB
  • “C” – Citizen racers, first timers, “locals only”

Event (TT, Crit, MTB, CX) year-end awards will be given for each category. A Rider of the Year designation will also be awarded

Rider of the Year Point Structure

  • Based on total accumulated points throughout race season.
  • At least one MTB or CX race to qualify for Rider of the Year

Racers will be divided into separate classes, generally baed on their ability category: an “A” race, a “B” race, and a “C” race. Riders will be scored according to their placing, earning points as in the table below.

Time trials start and finish at Norfolk Beverage, 25th and Omaha Ave. Course for 2010 will be a 10 mile out-and-back for all classes.
