BACKGROUND:

The Nebraska State Championship Criterium moves to Norfolk for 2008 and onto the fantastic downtown Norfolk crit course. Deemed as one of the best criterium courses in the Midwest, this course features both right and left hand turns and a long finish line sprint. Spectators at this course are treated to a view of the majority of the course from the finish area and can watch racers go both directions on the same street separated by a traffic island. Shops, restaurants, and bars line the course and are open for business.

In addition to being designated as the State Championship race, the purse has been increased significantly from years past, making this race, and the Norfolk Classic Weekend, one of the richest in Nebraska for 2008. If you race once in 2008 - make this the race.
