Name: Addison Albin
Current City: Lincoln
Home town: Norfolk
Significant other’s name/family: A lot of you in the Norfolk area probably know my dad, Jim
What pays for your cycling addiction (where do you work)? I’m a production planner at Veyance Technologies
What do you do away from cycling for fun? I’m a runner. Last year, I ran two marathons and am running the New York marathon in November with the goal setting a new PR.
How long have you been cycling: 2012 will be my third competitive season
Bikes: 1999 Trek US Postal 5500 (bought it off eBay three years ago in MINT condition – it’s been an awesome bike) 2005 Trek Madone, 2006 Trek TTX
Favorite cycling discipline: Road Races…preferably routes with lots of hills that breaks up the pack
Most memorable race: Winning the cat 5 2010 Norfolk Classic Crit on my hometown streets
Highlight of your cycling career: Same as my most memorable race.
Goals for 2012: WIN something and move up to a cat 3 road racer
If given the means, what would be your dream bike and accessory set up? Nothing too exotic…give me a brand new Madone with full Dura Ace with a set of carbon wheels that are so light you have to tie the bike down.
One thing you want your teammates to know about you: Not sure…I’m real quiet and competitive. If it’s a nice day, there is a 99% chance that I will find someway to either squeeze in a ride or run.
