Bike Clinic Successful

Despite chilly temperatures, the first EVCC/Cleveland Bike and Sport Bike Clinic was successful. Participants received training on bike maintenance and tire repair by Nick Cleveland and Steve Vincent. The group ride was cancelled due to cold temperatures.

Organizer Rob Davis commented that the freak snowstorm the day before probably scared people away. He added that plans are already underway for another similar clinic to be held later in the year as temperatures stablilize.

Rob also wanted to point out that the opening night of Wednesday night rec rides starts on May 7 with routes tailor-made for those who come out to participate. He also said that he is planning a day trip to either Omaha or Lincoln to ride the trails there, and may be looking at a ride the Oak Creek Trail. a rails-to-trails trail between Valparaiso and Brainard, Nebraska. That particular route is 12 miles through some scenic areas in eastern Nebraska.
