Here is the flyer for the 2016 Indoor Triathlon. Also attached a flyer for a new program we are offering at the YMCA. It’s call “Y Tri It”. It will train participants so they can participate in the Indoor Triathlon in February. It’s aimed for people who have never competed in an Indoor Tri or for those who want to improve their time!
Rhonda Wright trekked to Spearfish SD for the Savoy winter challenge 28 below Fat bike race on 3/21/2015 and took 1st in Women open.
On 4/4/2015 Tony Kavan ran the Ni-Bthaska-Ke Trail Run at Platte River State Park and had this to say: “Distance: 12K
Overall Place: 20 of 102
Place in Gender: 20 of 71
Division M3039 Place: 8 of 21Plate River’s topography made this the hardest running race I’ve ever competed in!”
At the Psycowpath – Tranquility Tire Tantrum on 4/26/2015 Todd Wixon was 3rd in Men Cat 1 40-49 and Jeremy Nicholson was 3rd in Men Cat 3 19-29.
The ever-intrepid Rhonda Wright scored another excellent result in Cable, Wisconsin Saturday with a fantastic finish at the Fat Bike Birkie. Her husband Jamie wrote on Facebook:
So. While I was in Colorado with some pals goofing off this weekend, my wife raced the fat bike nationals in Wisconsin. She drove herself there, had lodging, raced, and drove herself home. All unassisted from any others. The chick crushed it. She raced the long course ( 47k) and finished 13th overall in women. 4th in her age group. Considering this is the premier snow bike race in the Midwest, or country for that matter, I’d say she did an outstanding job. To finish that race in that time completely unsupported is phenomenal. Props to her for the achievement. It is the reward for all the work she has put in. Great job!
We agree with Jamie, great job.
Rhonda, Tony Kavan, and Jerry Hoff have more race results so far this year, with some great finishes.

2015 is just around the corner and just because there’e snow on the ground doesn’t mean we’re not preparing for it.
We want to take the time to invite anyone who is interested in cycling, triathlon, or the occasional run to give Elkhorn Valley Cycling Club (EVCC) consideration. EVCC organizes and/or participates in local group rides on and off the road, organized tours, trail maintenance, and races both casual and serious.
In 2015 we are planning Saturday morning (instead of weeknight) time trials alternating with some group 5k runs, followed by breakfast at a local eatery.Membership gets you a tshirt, access to a network of enthusiastic cyclists, discounts, and more. Your membership fees go to support the sport of cycling in the area. Elkhorn Valley Cycling Club is a non-profit corporation.
Club members also get to order EVCC custom jerseys, shorts, casual shirts, and other gear at deep discounts direct from the manufacturer.

Periodically, things just go awry. Tonight was one of those times. One person (Richard – but who’s keeping track) thought the race started at 6:30 and when no one was there he went ahead and rode the course on his own. Then he rode it again when he got back and realized what happened.
Once everyone was on the road, Gabe missed a turn and ended up somewhere off course.
Dennis set his fastest time ever though and Richard rode his second TT faster than his first one.
By popular demand, we added another time trial to finish out the year on August 19.
