6-17-2014 Norfolk Time Trial

The June Norfolk Time Trial went off into the wind in the heat and humidity. Jerry Hoff took his first time trial win in Norfolk Race Series history even after complaining of a head cold.

There was also a Bigfoot sighting in the form of John Spray. Welcome back John.

Race results update 6-9-2014

Its been busy since the mid-April update. Sean Moore and Sara Reynolds have been killing it at the Psycowpath marathons, Jerry Hoff took second in Ponca, we had several of our athletes place at our race at Maskenthine, and Dan Zieg and Jill Riese excelled at the Ironman 70.3 in Kansas.

2014 Maskenthine XC Classic Results

It was a great day of racing at a gorgeous facility.

Thank you to all who raced, who helped, and especially to Jim and John Wieland for the medals and all the work on the trails.

The winner of the fastest lap pot ($47.09) was Brad Auen at 0:30:38 with Jim Wieland close behind at 0:31:27.

EVCC is hosting a cyclocross race and a trail run 9-27-2014 in conjunction with the Norfolk Oktoberfest, see you then!

Zieg Tri’s in Lawrence KS

Lincoln’s Dan Zieg finished 32nd (and 264 overall) in M20-29 class at Kansas 70.3 triathlon with a time of 5:12:46. Dan reported this along with his results:

It was an incredible experience. The race was just unbelievable. I held right my pace just right and managed to finish strong. It is a true test of endurance. I will definitely be returning next year.

 

EVCC Scores Big at NE Ominium Weekend

Results are scattered all over the web, with some still MIA, but with what we have we know Joe Savoie was the MAN this weekend with two podiums: 2nd in the NE State TT and likewise win the NE State Road Race. Joe, a former NE State Road Race Champion, is continuing his banner year.
